Friendship Essay Sample or How to Be on Fleek

Writing an essay is not an easy task, especially, if you are writing it for the first time. So, to help you tackle this fear and face it head on, we are providing you with a sample friendship essay. We have chosen the friendship topic because from the youngest to the oldest, everyone grasps the meaning of the word friendship quite well. Breaking the Internet with every episode, instigating hordes of theories, creating a fandom so big it can pack an island and cause a ripple of excitement across the globe, Game of Thrones has become a sensation. Know what the secret is? Well, unlike any other series, GoT is never, oh, so predictable. The unexpected twists and turns in the plot, the sudden deaths, and births of the characters have made Game of Thrones the series of the century. But, even something as brutally unpredictable as GoT cannot change one thing, the ceaseless beauty of friendship. And we are not talking about the orthodox friendship that is defined by a number of posts friends tag each other in a day. We are talking about a bond where friends save each other from swords and protect them from doing something as stupid as jumping in front of a dragon that blazes fire with a word dracarys. And that’s the kind of a friendship we saw between Ser Jaime Lannister and Ser Bronn in GoT. But it was not all that deep and thoughtful; in fact, their friendship was interesting and fun to watch because of the light-hearted banters between them, and Bronn’s extraordinary talent to find humor in life’s most ailing moments. The case in point: The Rickon (Dickon) scene, where Bronn just couldn’t hold his laughter at the soldier’s choice of the name, even though they had just come back from the battlefield, and one of the showâ€℠¢s main characters had been killed. He got a glare from Jaime at that one. The friendship raises some questions. In a series where kings get killed at weddings, where assassins change their faces, and dead white walkers threaten the living, how did such a friendship survive? What is the secret after all? Let’s look into some facts. Before Jaime, it was his brother Tyrion Lannister who became fast friends with Bronn. But, when adversities, deals, and deaths took the center stage, the two went their separate ways. It, subsequently, led to Bronn being sent to Dorne with Jaime Lannister. And there, the first seeds of their friendship were sown. When you make a trip with someone to a vengeful household where every woman is out for your blood and you, somehow, still survive, let’s just say you form an unnamed bond. Their friendship was strengthened when the two went to take back Riverrun and laid a siege. They worked together side by side – Jaime as head of the Lannister army and Bronn as his right-hand man – to draw the Blackfish out. Unlike another scenarios and characters in Game of Thrones, these two were never seen questioning the other’s decision. Jaime allowed Bronn to call the shots in this siege and even later in season 7 when the two went to battle against the Highgarden. Ser Jaime and Bronn also shared traits they were both excellent swordsmen and remained undefeated. When Jaime lost one of his hands, it was Bronn who drove him to learn to fight with just one. The loyalty that exists between the two also plays an important factor in their friendship. It doesn’t take long in GoT for people to change their alliances, but Ser Bronn stuck with Jaime Lannister even when their chances of surviving were pretty slim against Daenerys Targaryen and her raging dragons. Hunger, Homelessness, And Keeping The Environment Clean

John F. Kennedy once said, â€Å"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.† There are many ways we can help make a difference in our country. So many people are starving and has no shelter from the weather and other ways of harm. According to Gunder, Dana from the National Resources Defense Council in 2012, â€Å"40% of food is thrown out in the US every year, or about $165 billion worth. All of this uneaten food could feed 25 million Americans.† While some people are having huge meals and even throwing some away others aren’t as fortunate and it is lucky for some people to even provide food for their families. While most American’s are going to sleep in their own beds in shelter, a lot aren’t that lucky.†¦show more content†¦Among the plastic, glass and metal debris were 725 glass bottles, 1066 plastic fragments, 247 aluminium cans and plastic cups, 919 thongs and one bar fridge.† Also WDCS says â€Å"Around the world, an estimated one million birds and 100,000 marine mammals and sea turtles die each year when they become trapped in plastic or eat it, perhaps mistaking it for a tasty treat.† There are many ways we as a school can help. As a school we could make a garden, Mygrove lists five ways planting can help make a difference in your economy by â€Å"1. Plants reduce pollution by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the air and giving off oxygen-just what we need to survive! This is called photosynthesis. 2. If your garden has edible plants that you can eat, it means that you don’t have to shop at the supermarket as much! Sometimes food at the supermarket has travelled very far to get there, using up a lot of energy. Eating food that has been grown in your garden helps cut down on this. 3. Plants help remove chemicals and bacteria from water in the ground. 4. For wildlife, plants can be both their food source and home! Lots of plants give animals, insects and reptiles more places to hide from predators. 5. Trees and plants absorb sound and help with noise pollutions. Business Communications

Question: Describe about the communication process. Answer: Active Listener Active listening is one of the most critical skills in the communication process. It is a conscious effort made by an individual to not only hear the words, but understand the complete message being sent. Active listening involves listening with all senses. There is a generic list of non-verbal signs that contribute to active listening; however it may not be suitable in all situations or cultures. The interest of any message can be conveyed to the speaker by following verbal or non-verbal messages such as nodding head, smiling, maintaining eye contact, agreeing or making disagreements while letting the speaker continue. Listening is the most fundamental component of interpersonal communication skills (Jones, Bodie Hughes 2016). Strategies to Become an Effective Listener A few active listening techniques can help an individual become a more effective active listener. Firstly, the speaker must be given undivided attention and acknowledge the message. The listener must maintain a continuous eye contact with the speaker. The distractive thoughts must be kept aside. The listener must not prepare for a rebuttal in his mind while the speaker is still talking (Weger et al. 2014). The listener must try not to get distracted to the environmental factors such as side conversations. The body language of the speaker shall also be noted. Secondly, the listener must give signs to show that the individual is listening. A few gestures would grab the attention of the speaker such as nodding occasionally, smiling or using other facial expressions. The listener must ensure that the postures are open and inviting to the speaker. The listener must encourage the speaker using small verbal comments such as uh huh and yes (Bodie et al. 2015). Thirdly, the listener must provide feedback. Since communication is a two-way process, feedback must be provided so that the process is complete. The personal filters, beliefs and judgments can distort the active listening process. As a listener, the role is to understand to what is being said. Feedback is a sign of positive reinforcement and strong signal of attentiveness. The words of encouragement of feedback must not distract the speaker and must be beneficial for him (Brandler Roman 2012). However, the listener must take care that he defers his judgment. Interruption is a waste of time. If the listener interrupts before the speaker finishes his sentence, it may lead to frustration. The listener must not interrupt with counter arguments as it would limit the full understanding of the message. Lastly, active listening must increase understanding because of the gain in knowledge and perspective. One must be open, honest and candid in their response. The opinions must be presented or asserted with due respect. The other person must always be treated in a manner the individual himself wants to be treated (Weger et al. 2014). Benefits of Active Listening Active listening benefits staff member as it helps in better understanding and considerations. The staff members or employees get to increase their knowledge base, enhance their skills and be more competent in the organization. More the staff member gets information out of the meetings, more successful he shall be in accomplishing his tasks. Active listening also helps in reducing misunderstanding. For example, if a staff member knows that he is not being heard by the superiors, it shall produce resentment and motivate them to look for other opportunities (Brandler Roman 2012). Listening is essential to build trust. For example, if an employee in a team does not listen to instructions attentively, it may lead to the failure of entire project. The reputation of an organization is also dependent on the active listening skills. For example, if an incorrect product is delivered to the customer, it may tarnish companys image. Active listening also helps in building leadership skills. For example, an employee who is hired newly is difficult to judge for what is troubling them. Inactive listening may change the demeanour and the employee may not be enthusiastic regarding his work. The employees want more of listening to them and it can help the superiors in building leadership skills through compassion. Those who do listen to their employees are in a much better position to lead the increasingly diverse and multigenerational workforce (Llopis 2013). References Bodie, G., Vickery, A., Cannava, K. What did you find to be the most violent crime or dangerous activity the gang engaged in that was shown in the video? Murder of King Roman. Killer chopped off the corpse and set it on fire. And also attempted to eliminate King Maggie during Halloween but he barely escaped. How do you feel society could better deal with the gang issue? Do you feel tougher laws or intervention programs could make a difference? What would you do to tackle the gang problem? Gangs have been existed for decades and it still is. The society as a whole already terra a numerous way to prevent ten est. Adolescent Ana ten recruitment AT gangs and while some did work, the rest did not. Although having tougher laws or intervention programs might help to suppress the problems temporarily, there is no definite solution to prevent the gang issues, and there will not be. As a society advances through the development of technology, medicine, and others, a lot of people will expect that the problem becomes easier to solve, but in reality, it becomes much difficult. Having a better technology do not only benefit the society, but also the gang members, which makes the problem even more complicated. An internet for example, although it helps people to have an access to a recent news and alerts, the gangs can have an access to that also. When a police car comes by, it notifies the nearest gang members to be cautious. The society is trying their best to deal with issues, but it is a lot more complicated than most people think. Making the laws tougher or having an intervention programs might help, but it does not extinguish the problems completely; it is like Darnings theory of evolution. When the police hires more officers to deal with gangs, a lot of the gangs will surrender but whoever that gets to survive gets to make even more powerful gangs. Same thing applies to the intervention programs. While the program may help a child o become more aware of the society, whoever that were already in an influence of other gangs will not care regardless. Personally, if solving all these issues were up to me, I would do the exact same thing as what society wants me to do. Making the laws stricter, hiring more police officers, and educating more children, that is what I would do because I know that the gang issues are not as easy to solve as what most people think. When technologies grow, the gang will grow, and when the society drops, the gang will drop too. There are many ways to prevent it, but no way to solve it.
